1. Who we are and what this covers
Sports Page ("SportsPage," "we," "us") builds and hosts websites for youth sports teams, clubs, tournaments and athletes. This policy explains how we handle personal information on sportspage.app and on the websites we host for our customers.
On a customer's site, the team, club, tournament or family that owns the site decides what to publish and what to do with messages and sign-ups it receives. We host and process that information for them. Questions about a specific program's practices can go to that program, and we're glad to help.
2. What we collect
Information you give us:
- When you start a site or contact us: your name, role, email, phone, organization, sport, location, team count and anything you write to us.
- Site content from our customers: team and coach names, rosters, schedules, results, photos, sponsor details and, for player pages, stats, video and academic information the family chooses to share.
- Account information for people who use the admin, such as name, email and role.
Information visitors submit through forms on sites we host:
- Tryout and registration forms: player name, birth year, positions and parent or guardian contact details, completed by the parent or guardian.
- Contact forms: the sender's name, email and message, which are delivered to the team, club, tournament or family.
Information collected automatically:
- Basic technical data like IP address, browser, device type, pages viewed and referring site, used to keep sites secure and see which pages are useful.
- A small number of cookies or similar storage needed for sites and the admin to work. We don't use advertising cookies.
Weather and field status features look up forecasts using the location of the field or venue, not your device's location.
3. How we use it
- To build, host, update and support websites.
- To deliver form submissions to the right team or person.
- To reply to you, send quotes, invoices and service emails, and remind you about renewals.
- To keep the Services secure, prevent spam and fix problems.
- To understand which pages and features help, using totals rather than tracking individuals.
We don't sell personal information, share it for targeted advertising or use it to build advertising profiles. We never show ads on sites we host. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing, even though we don't do either.
5. Children and minors
SportsPage is built for coaches, parents and program leaders. It isn't directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Tryout and registration forms on sites we host are meant to be completed by a parent or guardian.
Information about players is provided by their organization or family. Each organization is responsible for giving families notice and getting any consent the law requires, and we treat information about minors with extra care. We never publish birth dates, home addresses, phone numbers or personal emails for minors, team rosters never list schools, and roster privacy settings let programs show only first names and last initials or numbers.
If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, or you're a parent or guardian who wants a player's information removed, email hello@sportspage.app. We'll work with the program to remove it promptly. Our Kids' Privacy & Safety page explains our protections in more detail.
6. How long we keep it
We keep site content for as long as the site is active. Archived seasons stay online until the customer removes them. Form submissions are kept until the organization deletes them or closes its account. When an account ends, we delete its content after 30 days unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
7. Security
Every site uses encrypted HTTPS. Only the people a customer approves can change its site, and we limit who on our side can make changes. We use established hosting and database providers and limit who on our side can access personal information. No system is perfectly secure, and we'll notify affected people as the law requires if a breach happens.
8. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we have about you and give you a copy.
- Correct information that's wrong.
- Delete your information.
- Stop sending you marketing email, using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.
Email hello@sportspage.app with your request. We'll confirm your identity and respond within 45 days. Residents of Virginia and other states with privacy laws can also appeal our decision by replying to our response, and we'll explain the result in writing. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.
For information on a customer's site, we'll usually send your request to that organization, since they control the content. If they don't respond within a reasonable time and the request involves a minor, we'll act on it ourselves.
If you're under 18 and posted something on a site we host, you can ask us to remove it, and we will. Copies may still exist if someone else shared them.
9. Changes
We'll post any changes here and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll email account holders before it takes effect.
