Tryouts
Who is eligible to try out?
Players who are 12U for the 2027 season, meaning born on or after May 1, 2014. Strong younger players may be evaluated at the coaches' discretion.
Does it cost anything to try out?
No. Spring 2027 tryouts are free. Please register in advance so we can plan evaluation groups.
What happens after tryouts?
Every family hears from us within 72 hours, by email, whether or not a roster offer is made. We are happy to share feedback with any player who asks.
Season
What does the season cost?
The 2027 player fee is $2,650. It covers tournament entry fees, two game uniforms, field rental, indoor winter training and insurance. Our Cooperstown week is billed separately. Payment plans are available.
How far do we travel?
Most events are within 90 minutes of home. 12U is our big travel year: Virginia Beach over Memorial Day and a full week in Cooperstown, NY in July.
How is playing time handled?
Every player bats in a continuous lineup and plays at least two positions. At 12U we also prepare players for the big field: leads, pickoffs and 60/90 play. Playing time grows with effort, attendance and coachability.

How do you protect young arms?
We follow MLB/USA Baseball Pitch Smart guidelines for pitch counts and rest days, and track every pitcher's count in GameChanger.
What information about my child is public?
Only what you approve. By default we show first name, last initial, jersey number and position. We never publish birth dates, schools, addresses or contact info for players.
