Arrive 20 minutes early for check-in. Rain plan: we move indoors to The Barn Training Center (Indoor).
Who should try out
12U for the 2027 season: born on or after May 1, 2014.
We're looking for players with solid fundamentals, a great attitude and a desire to get better. Prior travel experience is not required.

- $2,650 (plans available)
Winter training starts in January at our indoor facility. Outdoor practices begin in March, followed by 7 USSSA tournament weekends, the Virginia 12U State Championship in June, and our week in Cooperstown, NY in July.

Team expectations
- Attend at least 80% of practices and all tournaments
- Positive attitude and respect for teammates, coaches and umpires
- Willingness to learn multiple positions
- Parents follow our family code of conduct

Questions parents ask
Who is eligible to try out?
Players who are 12U for the 2027 season, meaning born on or after May 1, 2014. Strong younger players may be evaluated at the coaches' discretion.
Does it cost anything to try out?
No. Spring 2027 tryouts are free. Please register in advance so we can plan evaluation groups.
What happens after tryouts?
Every family hears from us within 72 hours, by email, whether or not a roster offer is made. We are happy to share feedback with any player who asks.
What information about my child is public?
Only what you approve. By default we show first name, last initial, jersey number and position. We never publish birth dates, schools, addresses or contact info for players.
